Christmas card competition 2022 - how to enter
Earlier this week I wrote to schools in my constituency to invite all primary school children to take part in my Christmas card competition.
Like many other Members' of Parliament, I will use the winning design to create my official Christmas card. The card will be sent to individuals and organisations across our constituency and beyond, including businesses, schools, churches and community groups, thanking them for all the incredible work they do to support our area.
Who can enter?
All primary school children in our Penistone and Stocksbridge constituency are welcome to take part, and I look forward to receiving entries from children in Penistone, Stocksbridge, Dodworth, Pogmoor, Chapeltown, Eccelsfield, Grenoside, High Green and every one of our surrounding villages and areas.
To enter the competition, just follow the instructions below:
- Submit your design on white A5 paper by November 1
- Write your name, age and school on the back of the design
- Send the design to my Stocksbridge office. Maria House, 3 Fox Valley Way, Sheffield, S36 2AA
The winning design
- All designs will be assessed by renowned artist Lorna May Wadsworth, who grew up in our area
- One design will be chosen from each of the six wards in the constituency, and then one overall winner will selected from those six
- The winning design will be printed on the front of all my Christmas cards
- There will be prizes for the winner and five runners up, and the children who have entered the winning design, and their parents, will be invited to a celebration and presentation on November 25.
I’m already looking forward to receiving what I know will be a truly wonderful collection of designs.
